People love to ask and write about the “best” times to post on social media. Twitter gets written about a lot because it’s incredible fast and difficult to grab a user’s attention. But first…
What does “best” mean?
It means different things to different people. Many times it means the busiest time. Other times it means the least busy time / less competitive time. Technically, it works both ways. For that reason, I think it’s incredibly silly to obsess over this.
The best time to post on Twitter is all the time (within reason)
If you spread out your tweets by enough time (let’s say an hour), you won’t annoy your followers.. By hitting different time slots, you’ll have a better chance of reaching more of your followers. Not everyone checks Twitter at the same time– some people check before they go to bed, others in the morning, most people on their lunch breaks. It goes without saying, make sure your consecutive tweets are unique. I say consecutive because I fully encourage you to have repeat tweets (that you edit from time to time) scheduled throughout the week.
Last tip: Buffer and Sendible are great tools for scheduling and creating repeat tweets.
